*INTEL* June 18-19th, 2005 - 2 DAY EVENT!
Intel has reported that a few months ago a rogue North Korean special forces unit led by General Pai Me has allegedly defected from the military and escaped the Korean Peninsula to the tiny island of Lei Phe in the China Sea in search of food and power. There Pai Me has set up the Ching Pao Rebel organization and has been recruiting mercenaries to complete his quest for power.
Informants have warned of the power-hungry Pai Me’s hatred of the South Koreans and their U.S. –backed government. He also is reported to be in possession of a stolen nuclear device obtained by former Soviet Advisors and there have been conflicting reports of attempts to sell the device to middle eastern terrorist groups for cash, or a possible suitcase bomb attempt against South Korea or Japan.
Under pressure of the South Korean and Japanese governments and with recent U.S. popularity waning worldwide, the President of the United States needs a feel-good story for the evening news. To stop nuclear proliferation and successfully locate a weapon of mass destruction will fill that order. The President has sent in elite forces under “CODENAME: DRAGON” to neutralize or capture Pai Me, the top Ching Pao leaders, and to locate any nuclear devices or materials they may posses.

AAR:
Shortly after U.S. forces landed on the tiny island of Lai Phe they were immediately met with brutal assaults by the Ching Pao Rebels in an attempt to eliminate their fledgling beachhead. During the series of clashes between U.S. and Ching Pao forces, the U.S. managed to complete several SpecOps for some needed intel and strategic advantages. The U.S. base was overrun in a bloody melee at the end of the first day of hostilities.
During the night fall the U.S. managed to regain control of their HQ, but with stiff resistance led by General Pai Me himself. A bloody night battle ensued in the middle of Lai Phe City with both forces taking heavy casualties. There were reports of Rebel assassins armed only with knives taking down Americans at will in the darkness of night.
As the conflict continued in the morning, U.S. forces manged to locate intel on the location and disarmament codes to Pai Me's nuclear device as the rebels continued to harrass and gain their own intel on U.S. forces. It all came to a series of final battles as the Americans assaulted Pai Me's fortress valiantly in an attempt to recover and disarm the Nuke.
The Ching Pao defended their HQ ferociously but were outnumbered due to attrition and American forces managed to infiltrate and hold their HQ. Time was running short as the Americans franticly searched for the ticking nuclear device. Soon a high pitched alarm rang out...Sadly, time ran out for the U.S. forces as the tiny Island of Lai Phe errupted in the first hostile nuclear detonation sice WWII.
Initial reports of survivors are bleak, luckily for the Americans, the nuke was a low yield of the "Dirty" variety but losses are expected to be very high. The spooks have been unable to determine if Pai Me himself was killed in the blast, as search efforts are hampered by the high radiation in the area and the utter destruction near ground zero....
Stay Tuned for further Intel...
